CBS Sports: NFL Video Clips
CBS Sports, home of Super Bowl XXXVIII and the
American Football Conference
will introduce a new promotional campaign
to launch the 2003 NFL season,
"CBS Sports: Getting Ready For the NFL Season?"
The campaign features some of the NFL's
most passionate fans from AFC teams
throughout the league as they prepare for
the season. The spots will air throughout
multiple dayparts on the CBS Television
Network.
Four different spots with multiple versions
were created around actual NFL fans
that unofficially represent their respective
teams. Included are New York Jets fan Fireman Ed,
Denver Bronco enthusiast The Barrelman, and Cleveland
Browns fans Big Dawg and Bone Lady,
all members of the Pro
Football Hall of Fans in Canton, Ohio. Ja
Rule, delivers the tag line on each spot,
"Getting Ready for the NFL Season? So Are We."
"Big
Dawg" - The 300 pound "Big Dawg" is dressed in his Cleveland
Brown's jersey,
sitting on his porch reading the latest news about
his Browns.
The mailman is delivering the mail to the neighboring
houses.
"Big Dawg" has picked up on the mailman's scent
as he approaches the house.
Upon delivery, "Big Dawg" jumps up and gives chase
to the mailman.
